SLICE STORM
A browser-based arcade fruit-slicing game featuring real-time canvas gameplay, responsive swipe controls, dynamic fruit physics, satisfying slicing effects, combo feedback, multiple game modes, player profiles, game history, and competitive leaderboards.
THE PROBLEM
Building an engaging browser-based arcade game requires more than rendering moving objects. The challenge was to combine responsive real-time gameplay, accurate slicing interactions, convincing fruit physics, polished audio-visual feedback, persistent player data, and secure backend result handling into one cohesive experience.
APPROACH & ARCHITECTURE
Developed SLICE STORM as a full-stack arcade experience with a dedicated canvas-based game engine, interactive slicing mechanics, multiple gameplay modes, reusable frontend components, and a REST API for authentication, game sessions, results, player statistics, and leaderboards. Focused on iterative gameplay testing, responsive rendering, and improving the overall arcade experience.
